Jules is my own creation. I believe that all of us are damaged by life, but like my mama always said "you don't learn the value of a ship by how well she sails in calm waters, but by how she navigates in the stormiest of seas." Jules had a shit show of a young life. Even when she was sold to the Russian, she was a beautiful toy with no identity of her own. If you read the book, you might notice that she didn't even really have a first name during that time of her life. It wasn't until...well...I'm not going to spoil the story. She found her own voice, her own identity and her own love in the end. This is her interview.
The Evolution of Jules is available on Amazon and in paperback. It has some very rough spots and may contain triggers for some people.
Why did you choose this author to tell your story? Clairissa understands that the strongest women come from the roughest beginnings.
What is the greatest challenge you’ve ever faced? I was taken by men who would use me to hurt my husband, while I was pregnant. I was terrified, but I knew I was my baby's only hope and I had to be strong. It's kind of the story of my life.
What is something no one knows about you? I collect heart necklaces. II wear a different one every day. They remind me of the love I have and cherish.
Who are your best friends and why? Jake is really my best friend. I have plenty of girlfriends here in Georgia. Lizzie and the other girls at the best, but Jake is my whole heart.
What is the worst pain you ever felt? Physically--being branded. I can't even describe it other to say that it was excruciating and lasted for days. Emotionally--too many to list, I guess, but i don't like to dwell on it.
What song should be your theme song? The one that will play every time you walk into a room. "I will Survive"
Tell me about your significant other. Jake is my everything. He made me grow up. He made me find my own identity. He made me stronger. He always believes in me. He's handsome and sexy as fuck, too!
Do you consider yourself to be a “good person”? Next question.
Who would you want to play you in the movie version of your life? Who would play your SO? Hmm....Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.
Do you consider yourself a hero or a heroine and why? Why not? Probably not. I'm just a wife and mom. The past needs to stay in the past.
What was your childhood like? Fucking miserable, when i think about it now. At the time, my brother and I made the best of it and I just didn't know any other way.
Tell me about your parents? My dad is great! Even though he wasn't part of my life until I was an adult, we're close. He retired and moved closer to be a dad and a grandpa. We have Sunday dinner every week and he's always taking the boys fishing or helping Jake rip a motor apart. I can't imagine my life without him. My mother, well, she was an evil cunt.
What is your favorite book of all time? Anna Karenina
Imagine yourself as being 80 years old. Tell me where you’re at and what kind of person you are. Jake and I will be together, in rocking chairs, watching our great great grandkids play before we sneak off for a viagra induced love making session.
